Mindfulness Practice
The adolescent years can bring intense emotions, social pressures, and academic demands. As the brain continues to develop, young people are also learning how to respond to stress and navigate new experiences. Mindfulness practices, such as gentle breathing and grounding, offer opportunities to pause, reconnect with the present moment, and respond more intentionally.By noticing thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations with curiosity and kindness, rather than judgment, adolescents can build emotional awareness and practice approaching everyday challenges with greater calm, flexibility, and self-compassion.
