Services
Individual Therapy
My goal in individual therapy is to provide a warm, supportive space where children, adolescents, young adults, and parents feel heard, understood, and comfortable exploring their experiences and challenges. I strive to help each client gain a deeper understanding of themselves, develop practical coping skills, strengthen emotional regulation, and build the confidence and resilience needed to navigate everyday life.
I believe that meaningful progress extends beyond therapy sessions. My goal is to help clients develop greater self-awareness, approach challenges with flexibility, strengthen relationships, and apply what they learn in ways that support lasting emotional well-being and personal growth.
When appropriate, I encourage parents to participate in their child’s therapeutic process to better understand their emotional needs, reinforce new skills at home, and create a supportive environment that fosters continued growth.
Parenting Training
SPACE Parent Support
SPACE (Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions) is an evidence-based, parent-focused approach designed to help children and adolescents struggling with anxiety related challenges. Parents learn practical ways to respond supportively to their child’s anxiety while gradually reducing patterns that may unintentionally reinforce avoidance or fear. An important benefit of SPACE is that parents can participate even when their child is not ready or willing to attend therapy. The goal is to help parents feel more confident in supporting their child while encouraging greater independence, coping, and resilience.
Parenting Support
Parenting can be deeply rewarding, but it can also feel overwhelming—especially when your child is struggling with anxiety, intense emotions, behavioral challenges, school-related concerns, or family transitions. Parenting support offers a compassionate, nonjudgmental space to better understand your child’s needs, navigate challenges with greater confidence, and strengthen your connection with your child. Together, we will explore practical, developmentally appropriate strategies tailored to your child and family. This may include strengthening communication, responding effectively to challenging behaviors, supporting emotional regulation, building consistency at home, and fostering your child’s confidence, resilience, and independence.
School Consultation & Support
With a background in both school psychology and clinical practice, I understand that navigating school concerns, special education services, IEPs, and 504 Plans can sometimes feel complicated or overwhelming for families.
When appropriate, I can collaborate with parents and school professionals to help families better understand their child’s educational needs and the supports available within the school setting. This may include reviewing educational plans and school-based recommendations, discussing accommodations and interventions, and helping parents prepare for conversations or meetings with their child’s school.
My goal is to help parents feel informed and confident as they advocate for their child’s academic, social, and emotional needs.
School support may include:
-
Consultation regarding IEPs, 504 Plans, accommodations, and school-based interventions
-
Review of existing educational plans, evaluations, and recommendations
-
Collaboration with teachers, school counselors, and other school professionals, when appropriate and with parent authorization
-
Guidance in preparing for school meetings and communicating concerns
-
Helping parents understand how their child’s emotional, behavioral, or learning needs may affect their experience at school
